Trauma-Informed Schools with Amy Abell

Welcome back to the TBRI Podcast! We are so excited to bring you a brand new season of episodes with our staff and TBRI Practitioners. Today’s episode is just in time for back to school season. Amy Abell of Hope Alight, LLC joins us to talk about practical ways that schools can become more trauma-informed.

About our guest:

Amy Abell, owner of HopeAlight LLC, attended Hanover College for undergrad and Indiana University for graduate school. She practiced as a school psychologist in Indianapolis, IN for 10 years prior to beginning the work of sharing TBRI with parents and professionals in 2017. HopeAlight LLC has provided district level training and consultation in multiple school districts throughout Indiana, as well as with several community agencies that support children from hard places. Amy’s work has been recognized by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, where she serves as a TBRI Practitioner and TBRI Mentor. Amy resides in central Indiana with her husband, Ryan, and their four sons. Thanks to one of her children, who was adopted from China, not only has their family experienced deeper healing and wholeness, but hundreds of people have been forever changed by Trust Based Relational Intervention.
